Exhibition: Diabetes, sugar troubles
|

Hire / Purchase
9-panel exhibit
Summary
The concentration of sugar in our blood needs to remain stable to supply our bodies with sufficient energy without surpassing a threshold that would put our cells in danger.
Sometimes this very precise regulation goes faulty and sugar levels rise dangerously high in the blood. This anomaly is known as “diabetes”.
There are two main types of diabetes. One is the result of an immune disorder. The other is linked to an imbalanced diet and a lack of exercise.
Medical progress has led to efficient treatments and offers patients solutions that are increasingly easy to live with.
